Caspian Lake (Ken Kolodner)

0 ratings

I recorded Caspian Lake in 1997 on Walking Stones but it has evolved a bit since then. I enjoy playing the backup as much as the arrangement: I present a backup that walks a fine line between counter melody, harmony and accompaniment. I also include a harmony line which works best on a sustained voice instrument (e.g. violin). The tune features a chord progression that includes a relatively rare diminished 7th chord, color notes “outside” of the key, descending and ascending bass lines and more. I present one “full model” arrangement that is not very difficult.
