Loren has decided to stay and reclaim her honor, stolen from her by Auntie and her army of beggar children. But to do that, Loren will have to turn to the helping hands of the last person she ever hoped to see again: Damaris, the ruthless merchant whose daughter helped Loren escape.

Everything comes to a head as Loren tries to keep herself alive and become the thief she always meant to be — as long as she can stay alive to do it.
