Build your portfolio and participate in a fun and unique photography contest with the "ROYAL" Styled Bridal Shoot & Contest at the prestigious Palmer Building, an historic and exclusive venue located in the Charlotte area.

What you will Receive

You'll also receive some advice on lighting, posing and other bridal-specific advice from Robert Burns, wedding photographer, with any questions you might have. Four areas have been carefully crafted to highlight variations in lighting. Don't miss this valuable opportunity to use both natural and artificial lighting for your portfolio shots.

Light refreshments will also be served.

EXCITING COMPETITION!

As part of the day, there will be a fun competition and a chance for you to show off your skills in lighting, posing and technical photography savvy. Following the event, you may submit your best 12 images to the judges, and the 4 photos with the most votes (1 for each model) will win prizes.

Please note that assistants, second shooters or any accompanying guests MUST be pre-registered to attend and participate in this event.


FAQ / OTHER QUESTIONS

Great question. We have selected an awesome venue that lends itself to a workshop-style event, where there will be four (4) stations, with a bride (and a couple photographers) at each one. So there'll never be too many photographers in one spot, and you have plenty of space to shoot!


Yes, this is encouraged. We suggest you challenge yourself and bring less than you'll think you need, so you can be nimble, but if you want to bring a speedlight or two, a lightstand, maybe a softbox, that's fine!

We have selected an awesome venue where we can have a rain or shine event. This event will take place, rain or shine.


We will actually be providing light refreshments at lunchtime, so we discourage outside food and drink per the venue's rules. Thank you.


Adults only. We love kids, but for this particular event, we will not allow anyone under the age of 18 due to potential liability with the venue.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

This is the easy registration process for this event:

2. We will then confirm your registration details (full name, etc.). We will also provide short liability waiver/agreement to you which we need completed.


3. Simply arrive on Nov 17th, with your gear, ready to shoot!
