New photos, a short story, and poetry this week.

The lead story is 'Air, Space & Comfort,' by Dipika Kohli, who is the director of DK and the curator of stories and images for this zine. There's also two new poems, 'Sunset' and 'Jazz.'

What's it about? A pause. Given the situation with covid, DK are locked into the place where we found ourselves in March... Đà Lạt. What was meant to be a weeklong journey has become five months' of note-taking further, but this time, there is much more. Deeply, richly, and with only the fine-brush stroke you can make when you spend a good deal of time in a place, DK is pairing photography by Boss with new and unreleased poetry by Dipika Kohli, for this issue of S P A C E. The title of this issue is 'Tôi là Tôi', which means, 'I am me.'

On the cover is a photograph that was made by Boss at one of DK's series of Atelier S P A C E popups in Vietnam last year. The team had visited coastal cities and spent January, February and March observing, listening, and absorbing the visuals of a changing season. And snapping pictures of the gorgeous blooms, too. Those early and relaxed moments helped DK set the table for our March-August experience back in the same country this year.

Boss

Cover artwork and inside photos by Boss, who wields the camera when collaborating with DK on S P C, wherever we go. A gamer by profession, Boss is a great team member when it comes to tossing around ideas about, 'What about?', related to time, and beauty, art, and 'nothing.'

Dipika Kohli

DK Director Dipika Kohli's written and visual work, as well as curations, juxtapose people, place, and found imagery in 'minitheaters' as well as digital 'zines' like S P A C E. She engages with media at hand, wherever she is, to build something out of what's available in that moment, with that feeling. A bricolage artist at heart, she thus invites the new to enter any frame: when mixed, there is invitation for those who are participant to connect, reconnect, and revisit their idea of such fixed thinking as 'this is where this is taking us' and 'here is what we know.' Do we know anything, for sure? Ask the quantum physicists. Ask N. Bohr: 'How wonderful that we have met with a paradox; now we have some hope of making progress.'
