Have you ever wanted to print your own characters? You've come to the right place! In this tutorial I will guide you through the process of prepping characters in Zbrush for 3D Printing.

What's in it?

  • More than 3 hours of training. I will spend the first two lessons talking about different printers, what you should consider when buying one and how to use Ultimaker Cura, the printing software. Then, I will teach you the basics of how to split simple objects, comparing good models and bad, talk about problems we may enconter during this process and send them to print. After teaching you the basics, I will go through the process of prepping an entire character for printing.
  • Very small ammount of video editing in this tutorial. I will show you everything from start to finish.
  • Voice over in English.
  • ZTL files of the introduction videos are included. You can find the original ZTL file of the character in T-pose and posed right here
  • I'm also including my profile* for Cura that I've been tweaking to achieve amazing surface quality for filament prints.

*Tweaked for an Anycubic i3 Mega.

Who is it for?

This tutorial is recommended for those who already have a good understanding of how to navigate and sculpt in ZBrush, and have a basic knowledge of things like dynaMesh, polygroups, decimation, masking and using the ZModeler brush.

By the end of this course you will have all the knowledge needed to prep and print your own characters.
