Advent For The Rest Of Us

Advent For The Rest Of Us is a devotional developed as a resource for those wanting to wade into the sacred rhythms of the historic church year or those simply wanting a devotion to help them observe the season of Advent in a new way. The devotional will come with weekly themes, daily scripture readings, prayers, a short devotional, and a reflection question for each day through the season of ADVENT (Nov 27 - Dec 25).

HOW THE DEVOTIONAL CAME TO BE 

A few years ago I began a pilgrimage that turned my faith  on it's head. I helplessly watched my evangelical biblical literalist world view implode in my face. I had no idea that God's grace was waiting for me on the other side of this shipwreck. And I definitely never thought that very grace would lead me down paths that my backwoods christian upbringing led me to believe were depraved of worth and relevance. #LessonsFromDeadGuys was birthed out of the wreckage so to speak. First as a blog. Then a podcast. The podcast is currently in the middle of Season Two and will end just shy of the start of ADVENT and just in time for Season Three, or "Sacred Rhythms", to launch along side the Advent For The Rest Of Us devotional.
