In this chapbook, the poet explores the problems in his society and tries to create pictures of what it looks like to be a Nigerian. What it means to wake up daily and realize the fact that there are unrecorded deaths and massacres everywhere. Beyond the spectacle of the poet's grief, the reader also finds out that the world they inhabit is a traumatic one: a world where there are people who flee every day from their homeland; a world where those who remember to narrate their losses are haunted by these losses, and it is continuous.
