CCD Camera Selection and Calibration

While dark subtraction and flat fielding are common steps to take once raw images are acquired, there are several other tests that you should perform on your CCD camera. These include calculating the gain and readnoise of your sensor, checking for linearity and saturation, and watching carefully for scattered light and other imaging issues.
