CN-70 Tape Drums: Sample Pack

The accompanying sample pack is comprised of sixteen drum samples recorded off of the internal drum machine of the Yamaha CN-70 electric organ. Every sample was recorded mono straight to tape using the Marantz PMD 222. The samples were recorded at a variety of speeds, adding further colour and texture to the character of each sample. In addition to using these samples with a traditional sampler, there is also an Ableton Live project included which contains a custom instrument rack. The instrument rack has eight macro dials, allowing you to further tweak the drum tone to your liking.
