Drone Liquifier melts anything you feed it into a big pool of atmospheric soup. It combines a granular sampler and an extra long reverb to convert your audio into an epic drone soundscape.

The granular sampler splits everything into grains, re-arranging them in unique and evolving ways, thanks to 4 LFOs. The rearranged audio is then blurred into the distance with a long lush reverb - all while managing to retain the original "timbre" of the sound.

You can send this anything.. your voice... white noise... electrical hum, and it will give you a wild result.

I've been hunting for an all-in-one drone plugin for years, but nothing ever did what I want - so I made it!

Drone Liquifier is FREE - or if you think it's worth something, pay what you want. Every little bit helps me keep up this model of releasing my work for everyone, no matter what their financial situation is.

Requires Ableton Live 10 Suite or higher.

Current Version 1.1

Update 1.1

- Added a Master Gain

- Added a Liquify dial that cycles through the levels of Dry, Grain and Reverb

- Changed the three mixer dB controls to number boxes

- Fixed an issue with the Pitch being set on -24 upon loading the device

## INSTUCTIONS ##

The Grain Manipulation area has 4 main controls.

> Position - chose where the granular sampler will take it's grains from.
> Width - how wide the selection area is.
> Pitch - what pitch each grain will be (compared to the original in semi tones).
------- Random - randomizes the pitch of each grain.

> Duration - how long each grain will play for (in milliseconds).
------- Random - randomizes the duration of each grain.
------- G. Attack - adds some attack to the grains (useful if you are getting lots of clicks and pops).

Each of these 4 parameters has an LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) to morph the parameter over time.

> Amount - how much of the LFO is applied to the parameter.
> Rate - how fast the LFO will move.
> Offset - moves the center point which the LFO oscillates around.
> Shape - what pattern the LFO will follow.
> On/Off - enables/disables the LFO.

The Pan allows you to shift the grains in the stereo field. You can also randomize this so each grain gets a different level of panning.

The Reverb has 4 main controls:

> Size -  a smaller Size value will reduce the length of the delays in the reverb algorithm, while larger Size values increase the length of the delays.
> Decay - how long the reverb takes to die away.
> Diff - how "complex" the reverb sounds, or how many surfaces to bounce off.
> Damp - makes the high frequencies of the reverb die down faster, giving a more organic sound.

The Mixer has three levels:

> Dry - the original, unprocessed signal.
> Grain - the signal directly out of the granular sampler.
> Reverb - the signal out of the reverb.

> The Liquify Dial cycles through all 3 of the levels.

> Master gain controls overall output of the device.

The Settings area lets you do some fine tuning:

> Record Time - sets the length of the internal buffer. By default this is 10 seconds.
> Total Grains - how many grains will be played at once. Turn this up for a more chaotic, busy sound.
> Gr. Dens. - the grain density, or how often a new grain will trigger.
> Ran Min - the minimum density for a grain.
> Ran Max - the maximum density for a grain.
> Random - turns the grain density randomizer on.
> Audio In - starts / stops recording into the internal buffer
> Reset - clears and resets the internal buffer
