When I was deeper into modular, one of the most reliable tricks in my toolbox was layering in some natural atmospheric samples. These almost always included familiar bird chirps at low volume, and almost never failed to elevate the material and draw the ear. In fact, expanding this was the driving motivation for making Scenery.

Here we have the quintessential natural soundscape - bird calls, leafy gusts, trafficless background noise that somehow hangs like a harmonious glow despite their somewhat dissonant components.
