Experience the joy and well-being of coloring mandalas.

I created the eight (8) original symmetry mandalas in this 11" x 8.5" PDF Mandala Coloring eBook with a Guidance theme, each mandala comes with its own inspirational message.

THE DESIGNS

  • Years ago I learned of my Spirit Guide, "Ahna" and decided to create a mandala for this guide. If you look closely, it looks like there are 12 hooded beings standing hand-in-hand around in a circle.
  • After attending to Native American pow-wows, they inspired me to create the "Arrow" mandala, which incorporates symbols found on many of the regalia worn by the dancers. Watching the dancers and hearing the drumming/singing, I felt transported to a different space and time.
  • I used Egyptian symbolism for "Eternal", which reminds us that time is an illusion and that more exists beyond what we know from our 5 senses.
  • "Follow the Bouncing Ball" tells us that regardless of circumstances and how convoluted they can be, we have the power to determine our destination.
  • "One Nation" came about on September 14, 2001...three days after 9/11. By that time, American flags flew everywhere and we felt this strong sense of unity. This mandala reminds us to be as one while maintaining our individuality.
  • I used the image of kelp gently moving back and forth with the flow of the tides and waves in the ocean for "On the Beach". It reminds us to be in that space of calm regardless of where we are.
  • "Quill" started out as a random doodle of a quill feather used for writing in olden times. It guides us to remember what's really important in our lives.
  • As with "Arrow", "Tail Feathers" came about after attending a few of pow wows. This mandala acts as a shield of protection while encouraging us to open ourselves to receiving Divine inspiration.

Happy Coloring!

THE PROCESS

I create my own mandala designs by first hand sketching them with pencil and paper, then using a graphics tablet and stylus, I draw the mandala into the computer. I then convert the digital images into a PDF document.

MY STORY

I began creating mandalas in early 1999 after a 10-day trip to Egypt. Through much of that region of the world patterns and symbols decorated just about every structure I visited, whether ancient, old or new. My analytical mind loved the geometry of the Islamic art and the Egyptian hieroglyphics. My heart and soul loved their elegant and symbolic beauty.

When I returned home, I began seeing patterns and symbols in everything around me, even in my dreams. I proceeded to translate these intriguing ideas into mandalas. In early 2000 I learned to use meditation as a way to access the depth of these mandalas, fully exploring their therapeutic and metaphysical natures.
