BadHaas - multiband stereo widener

BadHaas is a multiband (3 bands) stereo widener, with independent controls for each band.

It’s based on the popular Haas effect, but unlike this famous trick BadHaas sums to mono perfectly.

The crossover (18dB/oct crossover filters) parameters let you define your 3 bands’ frequency range.

Each band then has 3 controls:

- Width, as the name suggests…

- Feel, to change the Haas effect image/color

- Solo, to hear the band in solo

There’s a gain (« Output ») fader at the end of the chain so you can easily compensate for any dry/wet loudness differences.

Don’t forget that the device isn’t perfectly transparent even when every band’s « Width » is set to 0% (this is due to the crossover filtering).

Push ready of course.

Live 8 / Max 7 minimum (I'm providing a dedicated version to pre-L10 users as some features - big knobs - are Max8 only)

Live 10 users: you need to use Max 8.0.2 minimum (which is going to be included by default in the next 10.0.6 update. As of now search on Google if you don't know how to use an external Max8 as your M4L driver/editor), otherwise the "big knobs" won't look as expected.

You can offer me a big cup of tea or a beer by paying 4€ which I consider to be a fair price but you can grab it for free anyway. Enjoy!
