We are delighted to release Vaibhavam 2019 with this concert for Kartik Fine Arts.
Coming in the early part of December, when voice and mind is fresh - this concert had so many special moments for us. Picking up the pace with the bright and the lilting followed by the majestic in Devamanohari, the concert's tone was set with the timeless in Ahiri that evokes in both singer and listener a sense of profound upliftment.
The centrepiece of this concert was the Ragam Thanam Pallavi- and the line for the Pallavi was a line from Bharathiyar's timeless poetry -"". Bharathiyar's poetry has always been a source of inspiration to us, but this particular line resonates with so much passion, intensity and emotion that it soars with the music right into our hearts!
One of our favourite Ragamalika compositions - finds a place here with an appropriate virutham. Though we had run out of time and were planning to end with this piece, cries from the audience for an Abhang made us quickly add the Marwa abhang as the last piece of the concert. We had in our co-artistes the most ideal foil for the music- HN Bhaskar, Sai Giridhar and KV Gopalakrishnan add so much life and energy to the music!
