Pardon Me!

As we go through life and participate in the various relationships, we may be engaged with, and we will need to forgive and be forgiven. We usually prefer to be the Spiritual one, and since we are always right, we are always the forgiving ones. Maybe when I stole the cookies at age two and lied about it, I truly need to be forgiving when I said no when asked who ate the cookie they weren’t supposed to have. And yes, maybe as a Christian, God had to search hard through my life annals to warrant my need of asking forgiveness of Him. But that may be it! If we live long enough and are honest, we were not the only ones needing to forgive, but yes, we have at times wronged another and need to be forgiving, needing someone to drop the grudge they are holding on us, needing to be pardon. And some of us have a legit right to declare we have been wronged, even though the offending party won’t acknowledge how they hurt me, used me, and took advantage of me. They may have abused me, overlook me, abandon me, misused me physically or emotionally. I must hold on to my hurt and wait until my need for appeasement is satisfied. I will hold unto the hurt until they acknowledged and felt the same pain in return. So I wait and wait and wait. I am waiting for a release of what has been hurting me for what they have done. I am waiting for them to get healed. I am waiting for them to give me back control over an area of life that has appeared stagnant and fruitless. I am waiting for when they stepped on my toe to respect me enough to say Pardon Me!
