In 1962 Colin S Wharton published his Leeds University degree thesis 'Folk Songs from the North Riding'. This thesis was the culmination of his collecting in the North Riding of Yorkshire. This 2-CD Set has 67 songs from 22 singers, including the now relatively well-known Arthur Wood and Billy Pennock.
