In the not-too-distant future, displays are captured on glasses and contacts. Implants allow people to control their pocket computers through thought. Memories are stored and can be reviewed, but they have not yet been written or altered. Until Lorelai figures out how.

Lorelai has managed to track down Jester with few problems, but who is he and what caused him to go after her? Who is he working with? Lorelai will have to delve into his memories to get her answers, but they may not be answers that make things easier.
