46 Page full colour graphic novel. Ireland 1650 - After Cromwell’s lightning campaign the previous year, he is now marching his army in two columns bound for Kilkenny & Tipperary. Having ravaged Drogheda & Wexford, giving quarter to none, he marches on Clonmel with the expectation that the town will surrender immediately. Mission Clonmel is garrisoned by 1,500 seasoned Ulster Pikemen under the command of General Hugh Dubh O’Neill. They intend to sell their lives dearly to the Parliamentarians, who are bent on exterminating the Catholic Irish.

Poyntz and Grace portray this brutal period in Irish history from the October Rebellion of 1641, to Cromwell’s disastrous siege of Clonmel, and near ruin of his New Model Army in 1650.
