This course is designed to help you consistently write song lyrics that are memorable, lyrics that connect to the listener, and lyrics that are powerful.

You’ll learn repeatable techniques you can use to write your best songs yet- songs that powerfully connect with your listener. You’ll also gain the skills to avoid many of the common mistakes that prevent your song lyrics from moving your listeners’ emotions.

So if you want to make connections in the music business or with fans, they must be able to connect to your songs. This session will help you avoid mistakes that cause confusion while revealing how to write with clarity and emotional “handles” for your listener. It’s time for your songs to go from confusing to connecting.

The Map To Powerful: Writing songs that don’t emotionally move your listener... will not change your life. It’s not enough for YOU to feel your songs deeply- your listener needs to feel them, too. And this session will give you tools to craft lyrics that aren’t just interesting but are emotional, not just clever but compelling. Your songs will begin to make your listeners feel what you feel. It’s time to go from, “Yeah, so what?” to “Yeah! So amazing!”

J.A.M. Session: This session is a sneak preview of an event we hold each month for subscribers of Frettie.com. The hour starts with a short lesson or topic that’s on my mind, followed by the “J.A.M.,” which stands for “Just Ask Me.” This is your chance to pick my brain about the art, craft and business of songwriting.
