9779 is a short story featuring two parallel storylines.

The storyline on the left side of the page is set in the 1970s focusing on a young actress, who quits her job to raise her newborn daughter, in an effort to grant her a bright future.

The storyline on the right side of the page is set in the 1990s, where we see that bright future for her daughter, fully grown, as she pursues her dreams to become a singer.

Their lives are juxtaposed against each other, their downfalls pitted against their successes.
