Islands of Hope

There once were two creatures who saw one world end and another begin. They had been born at opposite ends of the Earth, one near the North Pole and one near the South. One was a polar bear and the other, a penguin, and both knew they were living in a strange and special time. The end of their old world had been foretold by the Elders of their tribes, for a new world was waiting to rise.
