Mandala Coloring eBook (Symmetry): Contemplation

I created the eight (8) original symmetry mandalas in this 11" x 8.5" PDF Mandala Coloring eBook with a contemplation theme, each mandala comes with its own inspirational message.
THE DESIGNS
- I created the "Angelica" mandala for my friend of that name; this mandala asks us to see past the chaos of the outside world and go within to find our peace, our heart.
- The "Essence of Being" mandala came about from a doodle while meditating; from there, I added lines as I felt lines needed to be added, being present in the moment.
- "In Bloom" also came about from a doodle while meditating and turned into this geometric floral pattern that reminds us to be where we are.
- I created "Portal" as part of a personalized mandala for someone and in the process I learned it could be used as a meditative tool for deep contemplation.
- With "Power Strip" I incorporated another simple structure within the circle: the triangle; this one contains 12 triangles.
- The "Sacred" mandala looks like an abstract stained glass pattern, with the inner part looking like a star and the outer sections looking like halos or the glow from candles.
- In "Simply Divine" I incorporated another simple structure into the circle: the diamond; it looks like layers being peeled back as a way to get to the center, the core.
- I created "Vivian" for my friend of that name; the essence of this mandala tells us to remember who we truly are, deep within.

THE PROCESS
I create my own mandala designs by first hand sketching them with pencil and paper, then using a graphics tablet and stylus, I draw the mandala into the computer. I then convert the digital images into a PDF document.
MY STORY
I began creating mandalas in early 1999 after a 10-day trip to Egypt. Through much of that region of the world patterns and symbols decorated just about every structure I visited, whether ancient, old or new. My analytical mind loved the geometry of the Islamic art and the Egyptian hieroglyphics. My heart and soul loved their elegant and symbolic beauty.
When I returned home, I began seeing patterns and symbols in everything around me, even in my dreams. I proceeded to translate these intriguing ideas into mandalas. In early 2000 I learned to use meditation as a way to access the depth of these mandalas, fully exploring their therapeutic and metaphysical natures.
