Pie Chart Makeover: Quarterly Breakouts by Gender
A few weeks ago I was in Indianapolis with the juvenile detention alternatives initiative. This group wanted to graph: how many youth went to juvenile detention centers, by gender, and by quarter.
There are a dozen ways to graph each dataset. In this Excel file, I provide templates for: tables, heat tables, quarter-by-quarter pies (well, not the best choice), one year-end pie, a line graph with numbers, a small multiples line graphs with numbers, a clustered bar chart, a small multiples bar chart, stacked bars with numbers, stacked bars with percentages, a stacked area with numbers, and a stacked area with percentages.
If you choose to download these materials, you'll be added to my mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time, but I hope you'll stick around. I share data tricks every week or so.
