The Sketchbook Subscription: Revealing the hidden process

My artworks aren’t complete when I put the brush down. They’re only complete when YOU, the viewer interacts with them.

It’s often impossible for you to be in the same room as me. So I’ve thought long and hard about how to offer you a space in which to really dig deep into the insights into my creative process. This subscription will be the closest thing to being in the studio with me while I’m working on my art!

My studio in Spain

Every other month, I’ll share with you a customised digital sketchbook to ‘have and hold’ - at least virtually! Each sketchbook will be brimming with rich visual documentation of my creative journey over the last 14 years.

You’ll also get multi-media journeys into the stories behind the work. Much more in-depth than the limited versions I share on social media or my blog!

Over our 12 months together we’ll explore a story: How I went from the ‘artist who thought she wasn’t an artist’ to find my creative voice. And then on to develop a unique style of working that bypassed my inner critic and detonated my creative blocks.

Through this exploration, you’ll get to enjoy an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the approaches I use to develop my artworks. 

And you’ll enhance your understanding of the many mini-practices that help to drive our creative process!

Every other month you’ll get a customised page-flip sketchbook with a different theme. Each book will be brimming with rich visual documentation of my creative process. The book will gather ideas from different pieces, to show the development from sketchbook roughs to finished artworks. You’ll see how motifs recur in the work or how a body of work developed over time.

Some editions will focus on my latest pieces. Others will be retrospective editions to help you make sense of my creative trajectory and navigate your own!

Journal Jottings

You’ll be able to read exclusive notes about my idea development and process. Again, as well as insight into my work, this will also give you ideas for how to develop your own body of work.

Studio ‘Visits’

I’ve learned to maintain my creative routine in diverse - and often very small (!) spaces. Join me in these ‘studios’ via videos and snatches of audio.

Audio Musings

My best insights into the creative process come when I’m working on my art - not surprisingly! I’ll be sharing these spontaneous creative thoughts and reflections via short voice recordings.

Who is Cherry Jeffs?

I’m a mixed-media artist specialising in one-off artist’s books. I use my work to explore the boundary between 2D and 3D to create tactile, elastic spaces where magical encounters unfold. 

Many of the characters in my work have wings or take flight in other ways - reflecting how the creative journey has the power to lift both the maker (me!) and the viewer (you!) out of the mundane and help us transcend our perceived limitations.

I have a degree in Theatre Design from Wimbledon College of Art, London and have worked and exhibited as a designer and artist in both the UK and Spain. I currently split my time between the ever-changing seascapes of Devon and the perpetually intriguing landscape and culture of Andalusia. 

For the past five years, I’ve also worked as a creative coach to empower artists and other creatives to grow wings and take to the skies.

My artwork is to be found in private collections across the world.

Every month you will receive an email with links to the latest material. 

You can choose to view, stream or download the content as you wish. 

At the end of 12 months, your payment subscription ends, but you’ll get lifetime access to all the materials. Additionally you’ll unlock access to a private online library where all 6 sketchbooks are beautifully displayed.

All this for only £5 per month

If you pay the one-off yearly price of £60* (approx $80), the subscriptions works out at only £5 (approx $6.66) a month. 

But I understand if you can't pay up front. So the monthly price is still accessibly priced at just £7* (approx $9.35) a month.
