This trio of lessons features three very different guitar picking styles.

Doc Watson's version of 'Sittin' On Top Of The World' is transcribed in dropped D tuning, and is an attempt to capture Doc's flat picking style in an easy going Travis style picking pattern.

Big Bill Broonzy is well known for his infectious swing blues picking and St Louis Blues shows how he adapts this monotonic thumb pattern to a popular tune in the key of C.

Can't Cross Here is a Jim Bruce original and emulates the Gospel picking style as played by the likes of Revered Gary Davis. The words are a little mysterious and the song moves along at a medium pace while exploring the possibilities of finger picking the blues in the key of A.

The video lessons are accompanied by PDF tablature files - videos and tabs can all be downloaded onto your local computer.
