Google Material Theme arrives at Play Store before the imminent arrival of Android Q
It has been Google itself who, through the official blog for Android developers , has made official the arrival of the “visual update” of the Google Play Store design , in addition to detailing some of the most important changes.
If you have already seen the rest of Google applications that have received this same facelift, the changes that come to Google Play will not mean anything new. In the first place, a new lower navigation bar is introduced - located on the left side in the case of tablets and devices with Chrome OS -, which offers direct access to the Games, Applications, Movies and Books sections , in that order.
The characteristic green color of the Google Play Store has disappeared almost completely in this edition, and in its place practically the entire interface becomes white , with some green accents in icons and menus. Google Sans typography is also welcomed , as well as larger icons and more prominent buttons that translate into a more intuitive experience.
The change in design specifications introduced by Google at the beginning of the year also comes into play , which required all developers to adopt the square icon format in all their applications, which translates into greater homogeneity among all the store's content catalog.
Some Android users have been able to enjoy this design for several months now, because Google has been conducting various tests activating and deactivating the new design on a frequent basis.
