September Mini-Retreat: Headline Session: Porch Stories On Moving From Victimization to Empowerment & Healing with Gareth Higgins, Jasmin Pittman Morrell, Brian Ammons, & Nancy Hastings Sehested

The Porch Storytelling has delighted, challenged, inspired and moved audiences in Asheville, NC, since it began almost three years ago. Originally known as 531, the monthly event features five storytellers, three songs, and one community, seeking the common good through hearing how universal our personal stories are. Porch stories have to be true, personal, and told in ten minutes or less. In order to take life seriously, we need to learn not to take ourselves too seriously, and at this New Story retreat the four Porch Storytelling hosts - Nancy, Jasmin, Brian and Gareth will each share one of their favorite stories about moving from victimization to healing.
