In this fourth of our monthly online conversations & mini-retreats in the New Story Journey, we will explore the fourth of six stories (i.e. deep cultural narratives) that shape our lives and our world - the Story of Purification - “us cleansing ourselves them” - scapegoating and eradicating (whether figuratively or literally) those we believe are harming us. Through headline sessions with Linda Sarsour and Micky ScottBey Jones, workshops with Amanda Masino, James Kraft, David Zuniga, Rafael Vela, Patrick Hentsch, Maida Ference, Gavin Rogers and immigrant friends, with music by Denison Witmer, we will discover together how to move beyond this destructive shadow story toward a story of compassion, reconciliation, and a shared future, even for those we label as enemies.
