Zoom Art Workshop: Painted Paper Collage
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 9, 7:00 p.m. PST
You'll be following a step-by-step (yet flexible) process in order to create your own abstract paper collage during this workshop. Maximum number of students is 8. This is a Hands-On Interactive lesson where you will paste and paint along with your instructor and will be able to ask questions. (approx. 2 hours)
Students will need to have the following materials in order to enjoy and participate in the lesson:
▪ Paper (pretty much any light-coloured paper that will easily stick to surface when using glue and that is not too thick)
▪ Glue that is liquid and dries clear or clear acrylic medium
▪ Paint (watercolour, gouache or acrylic)
▪ Paint Brushes
▪ Scissors or craft knife and cutting mat
▪ Palette or any surface where you can mix paints
▪ Container of water, plus paper towels or old rag
▪ Surface to stick papers on (like stretched canvas, wood board, thick cardboard, or anything stiff and strong enough to glue your papers on)
▪ Optional Materials: crayons, paint sticks, oil pastels, coloured pencils, acrylic markers, stencils, stamps, gathered images from magazines or old books, laser printed or photocopied imagery, mark-making materials such as bamboo skewers or an old plastic fork etc. And a blow dryer is strongly recommended.
NOTE: You will be given the Zoom ID and Pass Code 1 day before workshop starts. This is a class primarily for adults (16+) but students 13 years or older are also welcome but must be supervised by an adult. You must have basic computer skills have a device that has both audio and video. Refunds, minus a processing fee, are given up to 48 hours before class start, after 48 hours no refunds will be given.
