Eight Witches (collaboration with Kate Capehart)

Eight Witches is a collaboration between artist Savannah Horrocks and author Kate Capehart. Originally an attempt by Savannah Horrocks to follow witchy prompts for Inktober 2016 (an online challenge to artists during the month of October to make inked artworks every day), it became something a little more when the Oracle piece (a close up serves as the cover for this zine) inspired Kate to write. Savannah was so in love with the result that what was originally an artistic exercise became a collaborative project. In the end, Savannah painted 8 witches in inks, and Kate wrote beautiful, 1 page fiction to accompany each of them. Art-inspired writing, that in turn, adds depth and rich narrative to the artwork it was drawn from. Witchcraft.
