The Book Of Ornamental Alphabets Ancient & Modern - F. Delamotte - 1858

This is one of the oldest books in the Lettering Library collection from 1858 and serves as a superb reference book for ornate alphabets. Delamotte has a handful of quality books that are of great use to the lettering artist and sign painter, but this is probably his best and most diverse. What's most interesting about this particular book is that is has examples of alphabets used all the way back to the 9th century.
