Sweet Little Resistance #2: Ruby

Ruby has a magical knack for playing music--and she wants nothing more than to use that talent to play guitar in a punk band--and maybe to have Apple cheering for her right at the front of the stage. But when she goes to an audition--and the frontman makes it clear how he feels about a girl being his guitarist--she finds herself trapped between what she knows she wants and what she's been told is her duty--to use her gift to teach this boy to be a better person. 

Exploring themes of friendship, fandom, and gender roles, Sweet Little Resistance is a 6-part series of short comics about magical girls who work in a coffee shop, drawn by a rotating cast of incredible artists, that answers the question: What if manic pixie dream girls were actually magical girls--and what if they didn't like boys all that much?
