Conscious Muscle Control: Quads and Superficial Hip Flexors

$12

Conscious Muscle Control: Quads and Superficial Hip Flexors teaches you how to active and relax your quads and superficial hip flexors at will. You'll not only learn how to control them, you'll also learn to feel when they are active or relaxed.

These muscles can be used to help assist your forward bends. Rather than just relying on gravity you can use your quads along with your hip flexors to increase the forward bending action at your hips in yoga poses like half moon, front triangle, triangle pose and standing forward bend.

In poses like chair pose you can use the quads to help resist the weight of your body sinking downwards.

In lunging "one leg to the rear" positions like or front-to-back splits, quad and superficial hip flexor activation can be used to help resist the pelvis sinking down.

In non-forward bending or - quad and hip flexor activation can be used to help stabilize the knees and hips which can make the pose more effective.

In any of these conscious quadriceps activation can be used to strengthen the quads as well as the superficial hip flexors and the front of the knees.

The Conscious Muscle Control Elements: Quads and Superficial Hip Flexors video takes you through a series of exercises designed to teach you how to activate (and relax) the quadriceps in a variety of different poses so that you can then recognize when the quads are active and also activate them at will even in poses not included in this routine.

With isolated control and awareness of the quads, you can then use quad control in combination with other muscle control elements. You can then play with muscle control sequences and muscle control combinations.

Developing muscle control in isolation allows you to play with muscle control sequencing and combinations to improve sensitivity, control and also of your body as a whole.
