Dragon VS Unicorn - Digital Painting Process Tutorial - LONG VERSION

A video demonstration of how to draw a Dragon fighting a Unicorn using Corel Painter.

This is the long version of the speed painting I have posted on YouTube. The long version is approximately 80 minutes in duration and features narration throughout the entire painting process. The original painting took 20+ hours to complete, so the footage is sped up to make it easier to see the entire workflow. Rather than going over every single detail, my narration is more of an overview of my painting process. I explain the decisions I made while painting and give insight into the techniques and tools I'm using.

The footage is recorded in 1440p resolution and the artwork is 40x60 inches so you'll see a lot of detail in the videos. Also included is a hi-res copy of the artwork and a PSD file with layers so you can see a snapshot of my process midway through the painting.

Corel Painter 2019 and older. (Many of my techniques are also applicable to other types of software like Photoshop, ArtRage, Procreate, Medibang, PaintTool SAI, Krita and Sketchbook Pro.)
