Welcome to the BlockU Animation Tool Kit.
BlockU is a collection of geometry assets and OBJ sequences that have been created with the After Effects plug-in ‘Element 3D’ and its animation engine primarily in mind.
The collection is made up of an alphabet, planes, cubes, spheres, spikes, grids, and other assorted shapes that have been split into blocks or voronoi patterns and recombined as single objects. Element 3D can read these objects as consisting of multiple parts. Element’s animation engine can then animate between two different states of these objects and their various pieces in an almost infinite number of ways.
The tool kit also comes with a set of OBJ sequences that Element 3D can assign to the vertices of a parent object. This opens up a world of animation possibilities. The set of cube, sphere, pin, and plate sequences have a short scale and shift animation that will enable you the artist to see any shape you require build and grow – cube by cube, pin by pin, sphere by sphere.
BlockU is called a tool kit not only because the pack contains a collection of multi-part objects ready to go, but also because of a set of flat and bent rectangle planes and grids that were created to be fitted together to form any number of abstract structures and design elements.
