ezMat - for 3ds Max [FStorm]
A Script for 3ds Max that will import textures via drag´n drop into the material editor as complete materials in a memory optimized way and much more for a faster workflow.
Its all about DE

Drag´n Drop comes with 3 modes: FstormBitmap (normal drag and drop) // Fstorm Material (drag and drop + shift) // default Bitmap (drag and drop + alt)
*3dsMax 2023 and older: By selecting the bitmap nodes and pressing the hotkey you can convert them into the native render Bitmap and than into a material and the nodes will be memory optimized (eG roughness texture will be set from color to mono).
Selecting two materials and create a new mix-material
You will get additional control over multiple bitmap within a FStormMultiTex node.
You can easily swap black and white gradients.
You will get additional possibilities to add and remove objects into the FStormDistanceNode.
You can create in a very fast way MatteMaterials that will not change the lightning of the scene.
By pressing a custom hotkey you can:
- convert bitmaps to FStormBitmap
- if there is no HDRI in the environment slot, the first HDRI loaded will be assigned
- textures will be imported memory optimized (mono for bumps / color for normal maps etc.)
- bitmap nodes will be renamed according to the content (diffuse, gloss ..)
- pbr support will be detected automatically
- create material by texture selection
- create auto-sync tiling/transformations in materials
- mix materials
- multi editing of FStormMultiTex
- quickly inverting FStormGradient
- FStormDistance with quick selection for faster assigning/removing/replacing objects to the FStormDistanceMap.
- create MatteMaterials for FStorm
