Description

This is my first interior render project created in the open source 3D software blender (www.blender.org).

The origin idea came from my wife. We talked about a new wall color in our personal living room and about to buy some new furniture. So I started to rebuild our living room in 3D to show her the new wall colors - actually...

First I created the walls, for the wall color - but the room looked very empty. So I began to add some more objects, and some more, and more - and "suddenly": The complete room was ready. I used the project too, to get a deeper insight into blender.

What does it mean for you?

You can buy the complete scene to see what I have done or how I solved individual elements. For example to check the render settings I used in blender or how I created the material nodes, or the carpet etc.

Additionally you can use the models I have created for your personal needs. If you plan to use the models for professional projects, please drop me a line, before doing it. Thank you.

What does the package includes?

  • You get the complete scene in blender file format.
  • The package includes low poly obj models too (Without subdivisions). The most objects are using blender shaders and modifiers, to look like you see them in the final render. So you will not find special bump maps in the package, mostly color maps. Some of the models are not completely unwrapped. The target was not a computer game, just a render still.
  • All the needed textures are in the package too.
An important note: I have used one free HDR map from hdriheaven.com called "Delta 2". You can get it for free here: https://hdrihaven.com/hdri/?c=skies&h=delta_2
  • As an extra I have added 5 final renders in a 4K resolution and 16 Bit color depth. Info: One image needs 4 hours to render on a GeForce GTX 1080Ti with 11 GBytes of Ram.

Additional render infos

My scene was created in blender version 2.79.

Before you start a GPU rendering, please be shure your graphic card has enough Ram. My scene needs about 6.5 GBytes of GPU Ram! Better you have a card with 8 GBytes minimum.

The scene can be rendered on a CPU without any limits. But then you need "some more" waiting time. My last test needed around 16 hours on my Intel i7-3770K CPU.
