How To Look: A Bible Study Workshop

God says the most important command is to love Him. Loving others comes next. I expect you've read or heard a lot about how to love others. But what about how to love God? It doesn't happen automatically. Not in my experience. Falling in love with God takes attention and action. 

Over the years I've found Bible Study to be the most powerful way to grow that love inside your heart. Looking at God leads to loving God. 

But not all Bible Study is the same, and not all Bible study connects you to God. If you've been studying the Bible, but haven't felt that study doing much in your heart, this workshop might be just what you need. If you haven't been studying the Bible, this workshop is exactly what you need. And if you do study the Bible and you do feel close to God, you'd probably love this workshop. 

My plan is to spend four hours with you learning how to study the Bible, experimenting with different methods of reading, studying, and meditating, all for the purpose of coming to know and love God. I'll teach a little, you'll spend time personally exploring scripture via provided prompts and exercises, and together we'll all explore our struggles with scripture and what we can do to overcome them and see clearly.  

I'll provide coffee, a new highlighter, and some useful resources. Maybe even donuts. 

When you leave, my hope is that you'll be inspired and equipped to encounter God in daily Bible study, and that you'll already be feeling more in love.
