Gameboyz 1.2, synopsis

The Diginetz International Crime syndicate operates secret gambling networks on the backbone of major international electronic data networks (cell phone, satellites, Internet, Industrial Servers, and VPNs). One of their own, John Sega, gets drunk and reveals their operations to a magazine journalist. Two readers of the magazine decide to turn the story into a video game. Once aware of the video game existence, the crime syndicate makes John Sega (Nick Errato) play the game, Gameboyz v1.2 , to the death. John Sega hires several gamers to play for him but they have to beat, Mario, one of the best gamers ever.

Gameboyz 1.2 blurs the lines between reality and virtual game reality as the gamers create characters in their own likeness. The actual gameplay mix of live action and 3d animation propels the tension and heightens the suspense. Who’s gaming who is the question, and the tagline, “ Win or die” is the reality.

Gameboyz 1.2 written and directed by veteran film maker ksmoothe, stars accomplished stage actors Lakeisha Coffey, Stephon Pettway and award winning Poetry Slam Artist Dasan Ahnu. It is also the theatrical debut for Isaiah Stratton, Ethan Taylor, and Samantha Smith.
