Panel Discussion on Title IX Recordkeeping Requirements and Best Practices

Is your institution aware of its recordkeeping requirements under Title IX and related laws? The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights (OCR) has recently concluded that numerous institutions violated Title IX by not maintaining appropriate records related to incidents of alleged sexual misconduct. In those instances, OCR’s resolution agreements have imposed specific obligations on the institutions for maintaining records and evidence in order to be viewed by OCR as compliant. Given the heightened enforcement focus on this topic, it is important that Title IX Coordinators and other appropriate personnel are well-trained on their obligations to maintain records relating to complaints of sexual misconduct or other Title IX-related complaints.

Join us for a one hour educational panel discussion to ensure your personnel are up-to-date on the latest OCR guidance on Title IX recordkeeping requirements. The panel will feature our own trainED attorneys providing practical guidance on legal recordkeeping requirements under Title IX and related laws, as well as Title IX Coordinators and other school officials discussing best practices they have developed and implemented at their institutions and lessons learned from their experiences.
