Hi my name is Alicia, and I’ve won over $20,000 from business competitions, pitched my idea to Mark Cuban, traveled for free, landed a coveted internship at Google, been on a reality television show, rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, and created a mobile application. 

Before accomplishing those things, I just had an idea and I did not know how to carry it out. I had no money, no relevant connections, and no skills. Instead of letting that get me down I figured out how to bypass those setbacks, which afforded me wonderful opportunities.

Too often, people let things get in the way of their dreams. Things in the form of excuses, not having enough time, resources, or thinking that their idea is not brilliant or novel enough.
