This film gives an in depth history of the ancient origins of caste, and its migration to communities outside India. Political agitation since the 1930's, led by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, eventually made caste discrimination unlawful in the Indian constitution. In 2013 legislation in the U.K. was passed that when implemented will make caste based discrimination illegal. But atrocities in India continue, and casteism is practiced and reported outside of India. This film brings awareness to a hidden form of oppression, to injustices that must be confronted in the wider world.
