Bend Scale

This device allows you to set the top, middle, and bottom points of your pitch bend to any pitches you want and bend between them. For example, bend up 5 steps but only bend down 2, or set the center to the highest point and the highest point to the lowest, or set precise microtonal bends. You can also put separate exponential or logarithmic curves on either direction.

Grouping multiple instances of this device in parallel with separate instruments attached allows you to control dynamic multi directional bends with your pitch bend wheel. Have some bend up while others bend down, or have them bend to and from different harmonies, since the center point is adjustable as well. Most synths have a 24 step bending range in either direction which means you can bend to and from a wide variety of chords. Another interesting way I've been using it is putting different LFOs on the Up, Middle and Down parameters and then bending between different LFOs and held pitches.

To set up make sure you synthesizers pitch bend width and the “Bend Width” on the device are matching. Values above or below the bend width will be clipped, shown by a little red dot that appears next to the knob.

This device uses 2 byte pitchbend values from the xbendin object, giving you very precise pitchbending, even with large widths.
