Life Drawing: Line and Empathy

A drawing guide that gives you the conceptual tools to get started with life drawing. In text and pictures I share my approach for quickly and accurately finding the heart of the model’s pose. By prioritizing empathy over measuring and anatomy, this approach allows for a deeper connection between model and artist and ultimately can create a truer, more feelingfull depiction. The process I outline here will not only be helpful for short and medium length poses, but will also provide a dynamic foundation for more resolved drawings.
