CQ Isla Escondida

Islands On The Air (IOTA) Program organizes the open-sea islands of the world in 1,200 groups, and encourages radio amateurs to contact them. In January 2013, the last IOTA group awaiting its first activation in South America included only one island, Escondida. Located 5 km from the coast of Patagonia, this rocky island of 200 x 100 m offers no landing place for a boat. Operating from this island meant fighting the odds and never giving up!
