THOUGHTS
In Revelation 3:20, Jesus speaks to the Apostle John:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

The invitation is inconceivable.  God Himself seeks a relationship with me?  He’s taking the time to call on me?  The fact that He takes the initiative blows us away.  We should be out seeking Him, searching every nook and cranny for God.  Our hearts should be aching for a touch from God.  But, alas, that is not the case.  We seek only our own intentions.

Christians also find themselves compromising in some areas of their lives—sinning before a holy God they think can’t see them.  Jesus waits for them to turn to Him for help too.

We clearly hear the call, though we deny it.  We make excuses.  We see the ugliness of our sin, but choose it anyway.
