Analog Keys (Four) Pack 1

This is my first collection of patches specifically designed for the Elektron Analog Keys synthesiser. It will also work on the Analog Four, but I've gone to great extents to design the sounds so that they respond to velocity in a natural way, and so that the Joystick on the Analog Keys becomes a fun and useful expressive tool.

There are 64 patches in here in SYSEX format, that can be sent to the Analog Keys/ Analog Four. These SysEx files are only compatible with the Analog Keys and the Analog Four synthesisers by Elektron. Go wild ;-)

But for those of you who don't have one of those synthesisers, I've made a sample pack with recordings of most of the patches.

The samples are long, so if you need one-shot files you'll need to chop them up yourself. But for an Octatrack I figured it's better to have many one-shots in one file. Also there's a folder called Freestyle where I'm freestyling with the sounds, to play little bass riffs, melodies and chords.

In 2017 an updated Analog Four MKII was released.

Although these patches are 100% compatible, they will load, and the parameters are the same, in many of the patches I'm making aggressive use of precise filters and heavy overdrive. These sounds will not sound right, and tend to peak on the new MKII. It's easy to adjust. Dial the Overdrive parameter to the same value but negative and it'll sound more or less the same as on the MKI. So if overdrive is at +50, dial it to -50 to bring out the sound like it was meant to be. The MKII model has a much fatter positive Overdrive, and a revised signal chain to bring out a more mature lower spectrum. New sounds are possible.
