The charity

SPC Osaka is a suicide prevention centre that has been certified by Befrienders Worldwide. 

Its hotline is the #1 most called suicide hotline in Japan (10k calls a month), yet very few (7% of the population) are aware of its existence. Their mission is to offer emotional support to those who need help and to raise awareness on the matter so they can help more effectively. They hope for a society in which fewer people die from suicide and people can talk about their feelings whilst being respected.

We believe that this charity is the perfect choice. The Neru家 franchise mainly focuses on Japanese society and the mental struggles that come with it, notably apathy and depression.

Donating to SPC Osaka can only be done through a local bank transfer, but we've found a way to solve that problem. This is definitely a very unique charity to go for as overseas people will now have the means to donate to this charity by buying this zine!
