The Blame Game

PURPOSE:
A look at our excuses and the best way to find forgiveness.

LOCATION:

PROPS:
Wallet, Country Flag.

CHARACTERS:
Victim—the one who can give forgiveness.
Blamer—the one who should ask for forgiveness

TIME:
2-3 minutes

THOUGHTS:
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14

What would have happened if Adam and Eve asked for forgiveness instead of piling on the excuses and finger pointing?  One only wonders.  The blame game began in the garden and continues to today.

Jesus tells us to forgive as we are forgiven (Luke 6:37), but many times the problem lies with the one who hurts others.  They never seek forgiveness.

We may be the person who started the blame game.  If we did, it’s best to give up and just say “I’m sorry.”
