The Woman at the Water Cooler

PURPOSE:
A modern retelling of the woman at the well.

LOCATION:
The Office 

PROPS:
A water cooler, some cups, everyone dressed very business professional

CHARACTERS:
CEO: modern day Jesus
Miss Samaritan: a young rising executive
Office Workers: two workers, any type

TIME:
4-5 minutes

PRODUCTION NOTE:
The CEO shouldn’t be played comically, but intensely and seriously.

THOUGHTS:
The woman at the well came to get water.  She was thirsty.  Jesus offered a different type of water.

John 4:13 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."

The story can be told at any time and our need would still be the same.  This world is a dry, barren place.
